My company just blocked devRant ip...

Well, now I need to use my own mobile data to procrastinate

Happened to me a couple months ago. But I have a company phone so I use their data to procrastinate 😎

Blocking a website to a bunch of devs is like asking them to find a way to make it work again...

And they will!
They will lose time searching for ways and after that, they will procrastinate a bit

Set up ssh tunnelling through VPS and problem solved (problem if don't have access to any vps :-) )

I use a vpn here to connect to some secure services, so that's impossible

Maybe they saw the logs and thought you'd Sirens too much time on devRant 😂

@bcye I was the first using devRant here, now we are 5 (on office) and some more on clients

I started out programming when I was a freshman in high school, so I would've been ~14/15 someplace in there. But, again, that's almost seven years now.

And dont dare to say that kids are beginner... I have programmed a compiler, @calmyourtitties has coded a simple os (atleast i think he has. If not, i still know very well that he mastered c++ as much as i mastered pascal ;) )

@linuxer4fun I tried to convince my 8 year old sister to try html. (No success 😅) I learn now about 2 hours each day because we are practically already in holidays. I tried to start with 6, but the motivation was missing everytime, so it didn't last long. 😅

That's how I found devRant.

I thought people were talking more about code here, it's more like free slack/joke time.

Rants are way more social than code based. Also, mostly people younger than myself use it.

My college blocked, a national education institute's website because it belonged to the category of 'education' and a science website because it belonged to the category of 'science'..
And then I stopped using their ducking internet.
