When somebody ask whats my job and i just say

I can't say I've ever felt cool because I'm a developer. Hell, I don't want my job to be considered cool... I want it to be considered hard and something for nerds, so hopefully fewer of my co-workers will need a weekly refresher on what a lambda expression is.

@RevThwack thats what i meant though. Cool in a way that whenever they see us work in silence they gonna ask how does those words work to run an app. :)

I love it too. I always say that I am a self employed software engineer, which indeed I am, and most people respond with something like whoa that's really cool, with a facial expression like I'm some sort of god or something. However it sometimes makes me feel bad because I know that I earn like 3 to 5 times more than they do, doing something I really love.
