SSDD47198yYes because running things, any things be it systems or people, at 100% of their capacity is always a good idea. SSDD47198yYes because running things, any things be it systems or people, at 100% of their capacity is always a good idea.

Just start Android studio, an Emulaor, a VM and convert Videos to /tmp/. Then your RAM is put to slavery.

@heikomat Yeah, it would be very slow.
But before I had 16GB of RAM I even didn't consider to use /tmp/ for anything more than scripts or logs.
And when I had only 8GB (+ 18 GB Swap on SSD) I managed to launch all GUI-Apps at once. My cairo-dock was enlarged horizontally over the compleze Screen with minimal Icon-Size and even that was enpugh to fit everything onto it.
So I dont want to imagine this with double the RAM.

(With 16GB I did a test of how many VM can run. Result: 16-20 VMs with the Tails image)

So in conclusion: I used my RAM so hard because I could. If that's not slavery... 😏

Free ram is wasted ram!
