VS Code is cool and everything, but man, PyCharm is some next-level shit. And the best part: free for students.

@GrizzlyMagnum because you won't be able to code with out it once you get used to it!

@dhanvi @luper That makes sense. But that's how it should be: companies should make you stick with them because their product is superior.

I was a vim only guy.

Now I use PyCharm, PHPstorm, Datagrip, CLion, Gogland, IntelliJ and RubyMine.

I fucking love the Jetbrains IDEs.

I use Intellij products, with the vim plugin. Best if both worlds

Which languages you programming on them? Any specific languages or environments where you get a significant boost in productivity from using an IDE?

@GrizzlyMagnum thanks to @dhanvi you have my answer.

@620hun I'm not saying that the product isn't great I use pycharm and intellij (sometimes) you just need to be aware of the trap. Nothing free is truely free. Maybe I'm just a cynical bastard.

We need a PyCharm circlejerk. I just found out about the "jump to declaration". It's a huge help when it comes to Django's lack of documentation.

@MilyMilo Maybe it's just me, but I spent about 10 hours today trying to figure out how to customise the authentication forms. I gave up and just used regular HTML forms instead.

Pycharm is completely bullshit. Last month it deleted my codes.
