@SZenC not asking this cynically, but name one thing you can do with XML that you can't do with JSON.

SZenC8157y@deusprogrammer XML is good when you have to describe an element, and describe it's children, but of course, you can always convert it to JSON or any other data tree format

@LucaScorpion right, but once again...what can XML relate that JSON can't? If by use the right tool for the right job you mean "this ancient web service still uses SOAP and I have no choice but to use XML", then I guess so?
