So making a website for my best friend who soon to be my girlfriend.. I sort of had this idea where I'm going to ask her out and the links are the letters that I wrote to her when we first met. Cheesy I know but give me your thoughts and opinion. #noobwork. About it. Or what should I add or take away.. kinda nervous.

Sweep her off her feet first. Love is the highest priority. Website can come later.

I am a sucker for these propose-with-tech things. It's not the medium but the content and intention. Surely she will love it. Assuming she likes you in the first place. Otherwise you will be the weird nerd awkward friend for as long as google keeps your page indexed (and it can be long..trust me).

    I miss the old times.
Just hit her on the head and take her to your cave.

I do not know your situation with the girl but all I can say is watch out. It can get bad really fast.

You say "soon to be girlfriend". Has she clearly declared that she feels the same way about you?

If yes then maybe this is a good idea.

If not, there is a good chance you have already been friendzoned, and creating any website won't really change that.

It will only make her feel that you have put a ton of thought and effort into this and that if she declines, your friendship will be even harder to salvage.

If I did not know her intentions I would first ask her out, then show her the website at our first month together or something.

Its cute, Good luck with that =)
But why the Website looks like a photo of a monitor with a website?
You dont took a photo of the monitor nooo, its a fancy webgl thing that let it look like that right?

@tmux - Came here to say about the same thing.

It's hard to tell the situation from what little we have to go on, but it could be more harmful than helpful (albeit very sweet and thoughtful). This is a move for a blossoming and already somewhat-established love, but might be overdoing it if there've been no prior declarations. (You have to declare the variable before you can change the definition!)

Awww! There's honestly no better feeling than laying next to the person you love and they don't know how much you love them, ... or how you got in their house again!! 😁

Well... Remember to buy a domain or use a free one. Good luck mate.

My two cents, take it or leave it...

Yeah... This might be better as something like a proposal than simply asking a friend to be a potential romantic partner.

My experience has been to err on the side of caution with these things, it's too easy to feel a one way attachment and is quite the gut punch when it's not reciprocal. It's important to remember that noone has to feel for you what you feel for them.

I echo the concerns others have raised that the whole "soon to be" carries an unusual assurance that, hopefully for you, isn't misguided, but it isn't clear what gives you this certainty. Just be careful, I guess it comes down to this question:

Are you prepared for a potential future where they say "remember that time you asked me out? Wasn't that weird?" And you both laugh?

If not, your friendship probably wouldn't survive the possibility of you being turned down and then you've potentially lost both.
