Looks like wishful thinking on the designer part. Usable design for guis and websites is not only "come up with incredible ideas", it's a scientifically explored terrain, there is knowledge of what works and why.

I think a good web designer uses the logical part of his brain more than the image suggests. "intuition" is doing it right without knowing why. Professionals should know why.
