What was your first programming language ?

C++. I had to wait for someone so I went to the nearest book store and they happened to have a book about it

Isn't c++ is pretty hard to start with ?
I started with python 2.7 but until I finished it python 3 was in trend. So I have to start over, it was very easy tho.

C++ in my second year of uni whilst studying mathematics. Unfortunately I had forgotten the majority of it by the time I started looking for a job (done a masters which used MatLab instead and took some time out to travel) so basically started again with python 2.7

As a middle schooler in the 90s, a giant green "MS DOS" book and porting those adventure novels (if you want to do x, turn to page y) into it.

For cooler stuff, Python was the first.

Pascal (school) -> c (BSc)-> c++(BSc) -> Java (BSc+job)/c# (personal projects)-> php/ruby/go/nodejs/c# (professional work)
