Today I watched Grave of the Fireflies and I didn't find it sad.

I have seen so many reviews online that people cried like a bitch. But nope, none of that for me.

Am I just a psychopath?

Either that or you are already jaded by long term exposure to PHP, JS and web development. You’ve seen the true horrors of life.

    [I've never watched it, but I won't miss a chance to drop a FRIENDS reference :) ]

All it did was rile me up. Kinda sad that once the sword-arm of Asia is now a US-colony

I hope i live long enough to see them rebel and retaliate, wud be sad if they become another SK or Formosa

People lie on the internet. People say what they think is most acceptable or will make them look better.

For sure, there are people who will watch that movie and get emotional, but I feel at least two thirds of the comments that state it are lies or wild exaggerations.

@bigmonsterlover Some can and some can't. Having a personality disorder doesn't prohibit you from being curious about the difference between you and the others. You can still wonder, why they act and feel different than you. You can still google and you can still read the good articles on Wikipedia or watch the excellent videos of HealthyGamerGG. Can still find similarities between you and a description of disorder-induced behavior.

Having a personality disorder doesn't automatically make you stupid and unable to notice behavioral patterns. Especialy when the disorder makes you more cold and rational. And if your disorder makes you want to become better at emulating other peoples' behavior, chances are very good that you just stumble upon descriptions of your behavior too. Also, you can still also be a hypochondriac actively searching for what you could have - no matter how well you are.

There is no foolproof way to prove the absence of disorders in humans.

@bigmonsterlover But you don't need empathy or remorse to study yourself. You can detect that you have something others see as a fault without seeing it as a fault yourself.

Actually, seeing the same action or trait as good while others see it as bad is what happens all the time in the meatspace even in completely neuro-normative people. Politics wouldn't exist without it.

@bigmonsterlover Harder is the key here. As said some find out. Some don't. And to ask oneself whether one is a psychopath doesn't even imply that one would actually find or accept the answer. Asking someone else whether one is a psychopath could even be a deliberate action of a psychopath...

Also, every action is potentially harmful - outside an intervention environment or inside. Self-reflections and thought experiments are definitely rather harmless in comparison to anything physical - including just taking a shower.

@bigmonsterlover You seemed to ignore it, so i stated the obvious.
