@sam9669 If you just want to be entertained, the majority of games on GoG and Steam run natively on linux, no wine needed. Often better than on windows even, as Linux distros tend to be a bit more light and well behaved in the background.
Then there's a bunch of slightly older directx games, which are sometimes a bit worse on wine than on windows, both in terms of performance and glitches. I played a lot of Skyrim and Eve Online on Arch Linux, both had only very minor glitches.
The newer the game, the less likely it will be that it runs smooth on wine, sometimes you need to configure and patch a lot, sometimes it plainly won't run.
So for gaming, Linux offers plenty — but for a specific game, you might need to dualboot. -
