@Froot
Apparently it's 151mg in a 16oz can. And I drink two of those a day....
I really need to get healthier... or go to bed earlier... -
-
I (try to) drink 1½ bottles of water let caffeinated drink I consume. Sometimes means chugging water just to get more caffeine, but at least I'm fairly hydrated lol
-
mt3o19047yYou can switch to nootropic drugs (nootropil/piracetamum). They keep you alert but have no caffeine-like side effects and won't get you high/low.
Also, switch to decaf. -
mt3o19047y@No-one nootropil? I use 2x1.2g pills at once, but my brain is pretty fuck up with other pills I take (im bipolar+ADD)..
Friends need one 1.2g pill to feel the difference. Point is, you don't have to 'fell' the difference to benefit from the drug.
Ow, btw, it's good idea to supplement lecithin and vitamin B (complex). And while on caffeine - magnesium. -
sacros77yReal solution here: we have this hot beverage called "mate" in Argentina that is consumed without sugar
Its a stimulant you can basically drink all day long with no side effects
I like it over coffe, which I drink a cup a week max
It may be some time until you get used to it but youll look cultured as fuck -
DelError5227yHonestly, what is the problem with coffee/caffeine?
I got some heart problems and still I drink 2-5 cups of coffee a day. No problems at all.
I also don't feel any side effects if I don't drink coffee, which is usually during the weekend. -
@DelError You'll likely get your side effects later in life. Heart problems aren't something to fuck around with.
-
DelError5227y@jhh2450
I know that. Living with this since... Ever.
My doctor actually told me that coffee is not a problem.
That's actually what I was asking: if anybody has side effects from coffee. I never had some but I know that it usually is something which occurs later in life. -
Took me 2 and a half years to wind off coffee. I was having 7+ coffees a day with sugar and wondered why i couldnt sleep!
New years resolution year 1: no sugar and reduce number of cups
New years resolution year 2: no coffee after 14:30
Very rarely i drink coffee at all now... water all the way -
I just stay too busy to drink it, now. I'm not sure what changed, but somehow I'm surviving.
Used to drink 2+ 36 ounce cold brew coffees (sometimes with espresso shots), 1-2 monsters, and maybe a rockstar thrown in for good measure...
Then suddenly a cup of coffee a day, max. -
devnope5397yTry tea, fresh tea not this garbage in bags, the loose one. You can fill tea bags or filters to you needs of taste. Teeine and caffeine are similar n effect.
Try mate tea or strong black tea with a little sip of orange juice.
Important: use the instructions carefully, black tea that waited too long will gain bitterness, that sure wakes you up but will also drive you away from it. -
mt3o19047yTea has caffeine too. Just with different substances around. Same with yerba mate. They differ in time that caffeine sits in your system.
-
Don't be a fucking quitter!!!
But honestly for every cup of coffee you need 8 cups of water to offset that. On top of the 2L min you should drink.
Also I smash the beroccas to keep vitamin C and others high to offset and help with the oxidative stress placed on the body from coffee. -
@sacros Very nice, i like it too but i know it from my parents on Paraguai. Mate por la mañana y cocido a la tarde haha thx for the tip
-
pk7611707y@DelError @jhh2450 You're not a medical professional, right? I feel that's safe to assume since you're here. I have a heart condition as well that's not effected by caffeine in any way; provably. Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Caffeine won't even raise my pulse beyond what it's already elevated to when I get supraventricular tachycardia.
-
@Britzerland Great answear, im worried about sugar as well... Imma try reducing it thatway
-
@heyheni hahahaha "adding that the basic palm slap can be boosted with an extra-shot option that includes a stiff backhand across the other cheek"
-
@pk76 That's true, I'm not a doctor. But considering one of the leading causes of death (actually, the leading in US) is heart disease. Doesn't take a doctor to know heart problems aren't something to fuck with.
And that's just your heart issue that's not affected. There's several other issues that can and will be affected by caffeine. -
DelError5227y@pk76
This. Exactly. If my cardiac doctor, who is also a heart surgeon and works in research in this field tells me that it is totally safe to drink coffee as long as I feel no side effects, then it is totally fine for me.
@jhh2450
I bet that if one would look closer into that issue of death by heart problems in USA one will find two main causes of heart problems:
1. Age. Plain and simple.
2. Obesity.
I can safely assume that people who have heart problems, and I am not taking about being a smoker or old or obese but really having a disability (e.g. one which is innate) then those people have usually proper medical care according to their problem. And those people are less likely to have unexpected heart attacks or similar as they are under permanent control.
Believe me, my doctor would see a change in my blood before I would feel something physically. -
@DelError Heart problems are hereditary. I'm sure a large chunk are obese and old, but a lot is still hereditary.

jeeper58067yGo on a week long camping trip. Reset your biological clock and only drink water and eat the bare necessities. The first two days will suck but it will be worth it. This will also allow your stomach to shrink, so you won’t need to eat as much to feel full. Obviously if you have medical conditions take those into consideration and keep a way to contact people but don’t play on your phone after dark or too much in general.
NEED IDEAS:
Guys, help me. What should I take to reduce my cafeine over day?
Anyone here is trying to get your cafeine level lower?
Suggestions?
