Q. What's the greatest number of rebuilds / redesigns for a full system that you've done?

It still sticks in my head that in one job we went through five specs, and the system still didn't do what the business owner wanted! I think the goals posts must have had wheels!

    6 iterations was my record... on a large scale crm/erp custom platform that even the client didn't understand by the end of it all...

    It's enough to make you cry when you think of the time / effort invested! Did you have new specs each time too?

    It became a bit of a running joke when the new slab of paper rocked up at the start of a new build. "There goes a few more trees!"
