You don't have to fit in. But it's genuinely better on my eyes to look at dark themes.

karwler7397ywell, I can't say that looking at a white screen for several hours straight is exactly pleasant

CptFox16167yDark themes tend to grow on you, I remember not liking them at first. But recently, I've been using solarized light a lot. Maybe I'm turning back ? But I do find black on white quite unpleasant for development.
Anyway, even though you may sometimes find nice things in getting out of your usually settings, don't let others affect your preferences.
Unless it's about spaces and tabs. Then, use tabs, that way everyone can get the indent length they want (looking at you, totallitarian PEP8. I WILL NOT SURRENDER TO TYRANNY!). -
Every time I return to devRant I try dark themes again. It’s just not for me. I use black on yellowish-offwhite and it works the best for me (and my black cursor never gets lost). Just know that you’re not alone 👆

Why is every dev obsessed with dark themes? I feel like I NEED to like them as well to fit in. :/
