Let's just say that I hate configuration of any kind.
AWS IAM, Cloudfront... it all makes me want to end it all.
Why can't this stuff just work?

    It can't just work because it's complicated to cover every use case. You can have simple restricted systems or complicated flexible ones.

    If you see a complicated restricted system, run to the hills!

    Try something like Pantheon or WP-Engine. Still some config but most of the machinery is already taken care of for you. And for most sites they are plenty powerful.
