I would recommend you accept their laptop
Should they need certain security software on it (e.g. Remote Wipe), your personal data is safe -
tahnik387587yUse their laptop and do all your work on that. It's better not to mix work and personal stuff together. You don't want to them to find "18y old takes a big cock" when they are just searching for your code.

spacem18367yThere maybe tax benefits of using your own..
but why not both? Get them to give you one and use your own. My work gave me a laptop which I just keep in the office - saves carrying it around. Then I work from home on my own one -
Use theirs because it will be still their property. If anything breaks they will surely do everything to fix it (e.g. Giving you a new one ;))

accept theirs. otherwise they're going to force you to install loads of encryption and security stuff and want master keys from it and loads of other bullshit. i used mine once on a job that wasn't freelance. never again.

Wack61937yIf there isn't any big advantage, like money wise, use theirs. Then they are responsible for it. They have to replace it if it's broken or not working.
New job. They asked me whether they should give me a new laptop or will I be using my own
Although Im more comfortable using my own, should I accept the company laptop? (It's the same laptop I currently have)
