What's wrong with that?
In my workplace they don't take server snapshots routinely. Only on demand

I hope I'm wrong but I read it as screen shot in which case this is horrible.

@clovisIrex a snapshot is not ment to be used as a backup system.
A snapshot is used when a change needs to be done, and then to be reverted quickly if needed.

A backup is a whole other story and should, in best case depending on the criticallity of the system, be done once a day, once a week and once a month etc and stored on a separate system or physical location.

Basically, if a system burns up, then your snapshots burns up as well, hence they are not backups.
