Hello, I am new to DevRant!

I was fed up with Windows 10(broken search, start menu etc), hence I installed Ubuntu on one of my PC's.
Now the issue is that my Ubuntu System boots very slowly!
I have a Docker Container + Some apps in startup! It used to boot up very quickly IDK after a week of use it has gotten considerably slower!
Pls Halp!

    Do you have an ssd or HDD?

    Upgrading to an ssd was probably the best performance increase I've ever gotten from upgrading. Really recommend one if you have an HDD :)

    Take out the live CD/USB if you haven't.
    If you have, install your graphics card's driver and check again.
    If none of these worked, answer the following: did you format your hard drive before installing Ubuntu, if so, do you remember what type of formatting you did? (Fat32, NTFS, etc.)

    @Dacexi I have 5 year old 160GB Hard-disk as main boot drive!😂

    @bardia323 yes I have formatted it during installation. I should probably upgrade to SSD, I think so my Hard-disk is the cause. 🤔

    @Dacexi which SSD will you suggest?

    @iihirotoii OK, your first problem is the hard drive, your second problem is the 5 years old. The slowing down, that is you hard drive being extremely, and I mean extremely generous, bill gates giving you his house because you said hello to his dog generous, way of saying back me up and replace me as I am about to fuck the hell off for all eternity.

    Welcome to devRant!?

    @iihirotoii depends on your price range. I have a SanDisk ssd plus 120gb which costs about 60$. If you have more go for Samsung Evo :)

    @Dacexi Will upgrade to SSD soon! Kingston or ADATA are widely available here! Under 60$ or 4K ₹

    @iihirotoii get Kingston then. I've had more luck with them than adata (my adata ram died within 3 months :/)
