Blame human resources, I recently saw a job posting that required 10+yrs. of react+redux experience...I'm quite certain it didn't even exist 5 years ago...

Because all the employers are too fucking old

@KidLaser one of the devs of NodeJs also found a vacancy which required x years with NodeJS. He called them up to ask if x-5 years experience was enough. He tweeted about this when he didnt get the job because he didnt have enough experience even though he was the dev of the technique.

I got a call from a recruiter at a financial institution yesterday looking for a Dev with 8 years of experience with angular 2. The problem isn't showing any signs of slowing.

Because, and this a wild guess here, they don't want a junior fresh outta college!

@nahson but 9 out of 10 times you will never hear from them or if you do its a "you are not qualified enough"

Demanding a certain number of years' experience is a way to avoid breaking labor laws and just saying, "we don't want 22 year olds working here."

@Haxk20 I also started with C when I was 8! :) Not because of my dad, but because I was in the wrong section of the library and saw this massive book on the C programming language. Read it when I was on vacation with my parents and when I got home I restarted it and started programming.

So being 22, I also fit the criteria! :D
