Not really a rant, but finally have an 'informal' interview for a junior Ruby developer with the company I work for. This is really so I can get more information about the role before progressing into the 'proper' interviews. Anyone got any tips?

Don't treat it informally. It is still an interview, and should be treated like one: be prepared for questions about your work, history, aims, everything.

    Thanks guys.

Prep should be fairly easy, just need to brush up on the technical side, as my technical interview stats are attended 2 failed 2.

It would (if I'm ultimately successful) be my first dev job. And I'm self taught, so will need to prep my "port folio" so that I can demonstrate that I knits of know what I'm talking about. But I know the product from the support side, which I hope goes in my favour.

Getting drunk won't work, it's a phone/Skype thing as I work in a different office, and my boss might not take kindly to it

Damn you shouldn't take my advise seriously. Good luck

Turns out the role I applied for wasn't for the product I was told it was, application withdrawn
