What is with IT and their obsession with error messages?

"If there is no error message, I cannot help"

Your not going to get an error message because the problem is VPN is messing up my DNS due to tunneling. There is no error other than me not having Internet if VPN disconnects unless I reboot.

As a IT guy with a developer background people who just say shit doesn't work really annoy the f!!k out of me.

At least a description of not an error message/screenshot is nice.

It's like when people say your code doesn't work, but can't tell you what they were trying to do.

Don't take it to heart!!!

I usually give them a very detailed error.. in this case I even made a video of what was happening.

I don't know if it's just my company but I also had and IT guy try to uninstall my entire dev environment when I specifically told him I just needed a serial number to activate a plugin for my IDE.
