Who was that guy who used to hang around here who unironically talked about being a genius while leaking loads of personal info of his classmates on GitHub?
Pretty sure he started a few 😂 -
@Demolishun he's talking about that Indian guy who got his act together after a rough start. I'm not sure if AOK ever had classmates.
-
We3D26711ynope, I'm just a peacemaker, It's very hard to make me start a war...
I'm a defender not of some or any tech, but of good tone and peaceful exchange of ideas -
Zohiu881yI love it because of how toxic it can be. It's just incredibly funny to watch grown-ups argue about petty issues.
-
@Zohiu "petty issues" way to minimize the struggle of others. Yeah, we get it, you vape...
-
Zohiu881y@Demolishun Lol I don't vape. I'm not talking about actual issues. I'm talking of "debates" about whether to give people basic human rights or just people getting way too angry about a button being changed, even though functionalty stays the same.

Then you missed a few rants:
- rust rand by kiki
- webdevelopers do not have what it takes by aviophile
- the recent indention rant
I tried to start a flamewar by bashing Rust but failed.
I'm sleep depraved atm -
@retoor you may need to pad some time out to start another flamewar ... you tried to do that almost right after kiki's rant.

@We3D I voluntary not sleep. Working trough a book about interpreters and working on an editor that supports Lua as plugin on the side. I can't be happier than this. Maybe some more back rubs.
I'm thinking back on nostalgia times writing MSN viruses with a friend in the shed high & drunk as fuck. I wrote VB6 and he wrote C. I wrote server, he wrote client for the botnet. We were making money using Matcash, teddy cash and waverevenue. Toolbar spreading. Germans were good for 40(!) cents per install. We were 15. He eventually got arrested but he was young so.. -
We3D26711y@retoor Last time ( and the only one ) when I was involved in creation of viruses ( mainly transforming others creations to do what I want ) was long ago and in 86 asm ( I only deployed one of them on a offline system for kind of revenge for their bad attitude against my mistake and I don't even know if it worked as intended... the main action was to destroy the fat ( or the boot sector
... not completely sure now ) of that pc, which contained only documents typed by me... my internal guy was already not there too when it had to happen )
but I still remember catching 1 virus which the current antivirus software was not able to detect and making my own antivirus solution to clean my diskettes ( and I was able to catch it mainly by the sounds of the floppy disk, which was singing his writing sounds when you start an infected file ) -
@We3D you're so young, how did you get in touch with assembly? I already feel cool to have started with qbasic and Pascal (Pascal blows but good compiler, same for Delphi (I did Delphi for. Net professionally btw!! Wtf right?)) and eventually VBS. When I came in touch with VB 3.0 and later 6.0 the adventure really started

We3D26711y@retoor I live in Bulgaria after all. we were ( and still are in some aspects ) years behind in everything ( we even have a joke about it : when the end of the world comes you should all move to our country bc we are far behind so it won't get you ) + the fact to been born in a poor family. when my friends was playing DooM and other cool games on their 486 I had Pravec 16...
-
@We3D I have no idea if your country is comparable to UA in anyway but I wanted to immigrate to there. The developers had three times a day restaurant. The best bars and on top of that: they were skilled as F (while half of them just bought their diploma). I've spent a few birthdays and new years there. What are things you like about Bulgaria?
-
We3D26711y@retoor the nature, the food, some of the ppl around...
hmm is that it...
ooh the fact that almost nobody cares about the law and the police ( which is also bad, bc some of the drivers here are crazy 'racers' no matter all the holes on the roads )
the weather too ( especially with the softer winters the last few years ) -
@Jason Linux is just h4x0r 1337 where windows is not. They're both being product by micro hard anyway
I like devRant because most people are too sleep deprived / burnt out to start flame wars
