If it remained just a hobby it would have been better. And I could have had the chance to study some other interesting stuff (physics? aerospace engineering?) -
Oh I'm in this situation I feel all stressed out and wish I could just sit home and do my projects but bills aren't going to pay them selves 😒

Self-employment or freelancing are options but they come with their own kind of stress, so it's down to which kind of stress you find easier to deal with. Personally I just try and have my own affairs in order, mentally block certain people, make sure to think of the nice things I'm going to do when I get home / get paid... and come here for some stress relieving rants :P
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time 10 years and tell the coder-wannabe I were back then to choose something else to do for a living, like being a carpenter or something like that.
Sure, the money is good, and the job is super comfy (working from the bed is awesome), but dude, the stress of corporate client-crisis caused by poor management bullshit 9-5 is going to kill me.
How you deal with this fucking toxic environment? There are some alternatives to this? I love to code, a lot, but lately I'm wishing it was just a hobby.
