So long story short, I bought a license for a very popular web app theme a few years ago in the hopes that I'd someday use it to make a full fledged app that i can use as a showcase for my skills. Day in and day out, they keep sending me updates for the said theme, only for me to download it and then leave it to rot somewhere deep in the trenches of my hard drive, never to be heard of again until i run out of space and have to clear some stuff out. And then i proceed to delete it, thinking its ok coz i can download a new version when they send the next update. The last one that I downloaded was 9GB. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@vintprox not exactly a node_modules issue, the download zip doesn't have it. The GBs are because they bundle a boilerplate/skeleton app for many popular frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, ASP.Net Core, Laravel etc (around 8 to 9 of those) and last but not least an HTML version as well. And it also has a lot of static assets for those skeleton apps.
