Yesterday I said: "My code was nice and well organized but then I started to do the things the customer wanted. Now it's horrible and ugly."

    Sorry to break it to you but code cleanliness doesn't really depend on the feature. Probably all hello worlds look nice until shitty devs start adding stuff wrong way.

    I might have to add that the just slowly thought of what he wanted as the project got along.

    If you have to change (not rewrite!) code, that is where bugs and bad arrives

    -> especially if you do not have tests covering that part!
