I also mostly dev on Windows, dont see a problem there. I also coded on Mac and Linux. I've you're current job is bad, I would take the better offer.
I was the most productive on Windows. Programms were Setup fast, don't need to search long for a tool to do the job.
My worst experience was with Mac OS. -
@harrocan devops is just fancy word for automation. Almost every technology is available on Windows. So why not ? Just because it has GUI doesn't mean that you can not automate.

harrocan2947y@mohit-goyal we are talking about buzzwords or windows? Once I tried to config win_rm for this crap, thanks, I'll stay with my canned mind and Linux for work
-
D--M22687yYou turned down what seems to be a a step forward in your career because of windows?
That is pretty dumb. -
Noob64667y@MoboTheHobo, @SweeD
I wasn't talking about the OS on your personal computer. I was talking about the company servers.
@mohit-goyal GUI? Have you heard about our lord and savior KDE Plasma?
@D--M You have to see the entire picture. Getting more money but working on slow and buggy environment isn't a step forward.
But to be fair, it is definitely worth denying a good job offer if the systems aren't good enough. -
@LinusCDE it's azure cli running on bash... This cli is available for all major OS.

A recruiter called today.
A new job proposal. Higher salary, manage some 5 men team, DevOps buzzwords, cool product, great conditions but then she says "and we're working only in Windows environment".
My ears ringed "only in windows env".. "only windows"... "windooowwssss".
"Nope, thanks, have a good day!" - hung up.
