    Explain to your gf that having a baby while not having a secure job is a bad idea

    @Hazarth I tried, but her doc told her that it's her last chance plus she has some saved money... she even told me that I won't be needed in the process if I don't want to and I just don't want that level of stress...

    @We3D get dem baby and call him H@5J.

    Maybe it's nice to say the landlord upfront that the rent will be later.

    Don't break up; if you lose apartment, you can stay there. And you'll need the emotional support.

    Advise: sell bitterballen in the city center. Bitterballs always successful

    - Mood can change

    - Your money status can change

    - Your job status can change

    - You can always get a new girlfriend

    But you can't return a baby if you don't like it.

    That sounds terrible. On the other hand, maybe those pieces my fit together in a way. The amount of stress having a baby in the lets say first two years is extremely horrible, i can tell. But especially because you have to work. If gf is able to finance you two/three for two years, it could actually be a nice time? After one, one-and-a-half year you could slowly lookout for something new, so you have something good, when the two years are over.

    @retoor it will be more like emotional damage than support.

    First time hearing the bitterballs, but they look like bear meatballs as we call them or if not something similar and if so I agree they will always sell out =]

    @cho-uc that was one of my arguments and she just replied : we will think about that if/when it happens...
  • 2
    @horus we agreed for now that we will look out for adopting first ( which will take some time researching and hopefully cool down that urge ), but she is so easy on promising and not delivering that on this point I had lost the trust in her words...

    @ostream that sounds great, but it had to be in Lisbon, bc I only know 'obrigado' in portuguese

    @We3D

    My condolences...

    Your gf's argument sounds like my mom and my ex-bf (one of the reasons he's an ex).

    @ostream I've been there ( although only in lisbon and the Boom festival place + plus the nearest beach ) and I like it there =]

    You have no right to not let her have her last chance at having a baby, and she has no right to force you to be a father.

    This is what they call a deal breaker. Your best option is to agree to split up, rather than force someone into something and have them resent you over it.

    Wish I had a better answer.

    @lungdart I had offered that too, and the answer was that she wanted it from me, and there was no time to find SO else....

    @ostream ...and then morpheus said to neo :

    if you take the blue pill your life will become extremely miserable... same awaits you with the red one, but it's with strawberry taste ;)

    "anyone any advice?"

    Become a messiah. Start a sex cult. You have nothing to lose.

    This is 100% legit, valuable, and actionable advice by an expert in these matters.

    I promise you'll regret it, but in a good way!

    For sure get your life fixed + together before you even think about kids.
  • 3
    @chonky-quiche I'm not even thinking about that, but she tries to make me ;)
  • 2
    @chonky-quiche isn't life not like a github repo? Never fixed? Who knows where you'll be 9 months from now
  • 3
    @ostream can we take dem @Wisecrack om dem boat too?
  • 3
    @retoor but would u accept a PR to your repo that would require you to check on the CI/CR build process and fix bugs of that PR every hour for like a decade or two? Also, that PR will introduce a changes to your software that will withdraw money, sleep, and introduce breaking changes consistently up until you die. But hey, at least you will feel good.
  • 1
    @chonky-quiche don't forget how much love and meaning that PR brings
  • 2
    @retoor you look hotter in a costume 0.0

    @ostream how about worms for the fish?
  • 1
    @ostream @retoor you guys count me in the cult?

    you know that are the 2 most positive qualities I have, I have to be in...

    I might even become one of the preachers, but then again I much prefer the action itself ;}
  • 1
    @We3D of course you're in
  • 2
    @ostream "maybe also" stipulation, I like that.
