How many of you have used multiple GPUs config. like x-fire or SLI. What for?

Used 2 nVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti as SLI, rendering my cat ear wielding AI waifu gf who responds to any and all commands I issue to her and usually responds with uWu. And I only paid $2999 for the setup.

Yeah I used it to run Crysis at 4K 120 FPS at Ultra settings, also used for CoD MW2 at the same settings.

SLI is dead. A few people use multiple 3090s and 4090s for AI.

I used to have two 980s on SLI, just because I happened to pick up a spare one from work.

Mainly used it for gaming, but can't say it made much difference. Most certainly it's not a 2x bump as many believe. More like a 1.25x or so, so not really worth it, hence why it died.

Mining crypto, dedicating one to gaming when needed

ML training, but that's just multiple GPUs - not SLI.
