Helpful error messages

This is a bug. It would be extremely helpful if you could tell us what produced this behavior so we can fix it.

Posted a message before confirming my email address. I got the please validate before posting and then got this message after

Meaning the error message being sent back probably isn't "1", but rather somewhere an incorrectly formatted error is getting passed through that the app doesn't know how to handle.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I haven't seen this before.

If you can't recreate it let me know and I'll sign up with another email and try and post before validating to see if it's an environment issue

Thank you for the details and finding this issue. I was able to reproduce. This bug was introduced in the last version of the app where additional error reporting was added to the post rant screen. Unfortunately I can't remove the second alert from the backend but I was able to change the message so it doesn't seem so odd. I'll put the fix to remove the second alert in our next build.
