    It's not that they don't like to code it's just that they can't
  • 14
    I mean

    My goals are.

    I'd rather it above any other job, including porn star.

    I just really fucking love programming.
  • 13
    without people sitting from 9 to 7 he wouldn't have that chat app to use ...
  • 2
    Hey! That's my goal :'(

    Haha I’ve always found some flexibility with how I work... when you’re getting the job done, it’s up to you how you do it.

    At the minute I 9-4:30 for the most part with the odd late and the odd early depending on what I need to get done.

    I don't want to code.
    I don't want to do research
    I don't want to innovate

    I want to be successful and become millionaire

    Me - 😐🙏🙏🙏

    @Lahsen2016 nobody gonna give you porn star cotract.

    At max they will give you lead actor/actress role.

    Whether you turn out to be a star, totally depends on your work

    @AlgoRythm @Lahsen2016

    As someone who has worked in that "field", it's not near as easy or fun as one might think.

    I prefer programming. :P

    @Cyanite
    Wow. That's nice to know.
    Would like to check out, Any links :)?

    @kedv @Lahsen2016

    Lol

    @Cyanite That's pretty interesting, I'm really curious but then again that's something I would really rather not see

    @AlgoRythm

    It was all live anyways, so no evidence exists anymore aside from my old acounts that I haven't deleted yet. xD

    I talked about this in my rant about "If AI's take over" I forget the week number.

    @Cyanite Nothing on the internet is ever lost, unfortunately. I doubt nobody screen captured it, that's quite a common practice
  • 2
    @AlgoRythm

    True. But I look a lot different now. And no one there knew my real name. But it's *obviously* not like I'm secretive about that sort of thing anyways.
  • 4
    @Cyanite wow. I have no idea what you ment by that since that was a bit vague description. But wow, it really set off my imagination.

    I had some clients who owned sex stores and i built them an ecommerce website back around 2010 (i just built them the platform, designed the sites and some SEO). Funny times. Always paid on time without any hustles.

    Pro pornstar? hell no.

    Those "pretty" girls first sit an hour through makeup prep, then you stick your dick into someone who's not necessarily passionate about it, searing hot studio lamps, smell of sweat and sex becomes sickening, you have to keep moving in very uncomfortable or even painful positions. And then the idea that after 20 girls a week who each do it with 20 guys a week, one STD will rapidly spread through the whole community.

    Nah. I like sex, and I have nothing against porn... but development is a much nicer career I bet.

    Mind blown again.

    @bioDan

    Nah, but have been on a set one time... sysadmin with porn production company as customer. We managed their SANs, tape backups, website, 19" racks for AV equipment, etc.

    A porn set can be WAY smellier than I expected. I mean, they all probably shower, but I walked in when they had been recording for 2 hours, literally to bring them some proprietary sony flash storage for the camera.

    So at that point there was an unholy stench, a sharp onion & crotch bouquet with faint aromas of accidental farts, droplets of urine and moldy bread.

    The two in front of the camera were being handed fresh dry towels to remove the sweat, and then four neatly clothed people ran in to apply thick layers of body makeup using brushes.

    Then a bright sunny light was turned on, a big ventilator made the white curtains move in the breeze, and the romantic love scene continued... but the smell... holy fuck the smell of body fluids cooking in hot studio lamps...

    @bittersweet I bet you never looked at another porn video the same way again
  • 2
    @bittersweet traumatic 😰
  • 2
    @rawanmk Certainly not the same way. I appreciate it more for the craft and hard work that it is, but a scene now really needs to be very convincing and passionate to be enjoyable.

    Would he rather sit 9-7 using Excel or answering calls in a call center?
  • 1
    @jamescodesthing Same situation here. I generally work 8-4 or 9-5 due to being used to it but I can work wherever and whenever I want (excluding the odd conf call).
