I have 2 log files in /var/log

kern.log 16.1GB
syslog 4.1 GB

BECAUSE I HAVE UBUNTU AND IT KEEPS THROWING PCIe errors on booting

    If you have PCIe errors upon booting, you need a new board.

    I delete all logfiles of the last 2 days automatically. What else am I supposed to do with it? Save for rainy days?

    If you run a server, it is of course something else. In this case I would keep them (logrotate).

    @filthyranter Not necessarily. I have a PC Express Card (4 x USB 3.0) and sometimes PCIe errors in the logs. It doesn't have to be a defect. Could be the driver.

    Can you try to look into what those errors/logs about?

    I'd go with driver. Nvidia geforce 940mx on laptop

    😂, Just install a mesa driver if your hardware manufacturer doesn't support Ubuntu.
