Hazarth95011yWell my point was, that charging for random number app is obviously retarded, just as you said, and that as a programmer you can do it via python and don't need to rely on store apps unlike the less technical people out there.
I mean that's how I do it, not sure why you're acting so offended -
Hazarth95011y@retoor Yes, especially to a board of programmers. How date I mention python?! I shall go and spend the night in the basement for overstepping like this :c
-
Hazarth95011y@ostream I mean yes?... Are you implying that the paid apps on the app store are actually investing time into this and are not just calling rand() in the background, or what's your point exactly?
Surely you don't really care about true randomness when you're playing a table top game with a couple of friends and forgot to bring your D20s anyway.. -
K-ASS25831yOh shit I was not saying this against you, you are fine, it eas somebody else who was just saying just use python.
I think I was offended by that message because it completely missed my point. It’s like I’m trying to learn how to make fire and someone said just use a lighter -
K-ASS25831y@Hazarth sorry about the confusion, it was really not against you, see my last comment I forgot to @ you
-
K-ASS25831y@Hazarth and I was especially offended by that one because I was demoing my app with feature that allowed you to save your configuration, something like roll 4 unique numbers from 5 to 20, which is quite convenient to me and it’s not something I’d open python for every time I have the needs. Again I’m sorry about the confusion
If it makes you feel better, there are people telling me just open a web browser to do this
So I’m writing this random number generator app just because so many apps charge you for this simple thing and posted my progress somewhere else. And this guy just commented: you can do it in python in 2 lines
Bitch, I know… the whole point is to not open python whenever needed and save my settings so I can use them later
God damn
