@balte It’s ridiculous, when I get home I’ll show you what a wall connection in my small town looks like. When I say a few years ago we just got away from dialup and finally got fiber, I mean that whole heartedly. If I’m not mistaken is was just 4-5 years ago.

@AnonyOps copper is still very reasonable for short distances, they can reach more than reasonable connections on it. both at my parents home and my place we have copper, same basic line as dial up just new standards (VDSL and ADSL)

although, I think the last dial up connection was cancelled just a few years back in the Netherlands? but don't quote me on that.
