Buying a brand new laptop, I think I'll save some money and get an i5 instead of an i7 and then turn around the next day and decide I hate money and I love having a computer that's more powerful than I need it to be.

@nerd-san Hmm... 128gb SSD + 1TB HDD except the HDD will prolly fail sooner than the SSD... Oh n Windows usually eats 20-30GB of that....

Hard choice.... btw do you game?

My current old laptop which had it's HDD fail and manually replaced with a SSD is an i7 but all I use it for is to code, watch videos, and internet...

The i5 can run Doom at ultra settings and will stay above 50 fps.

But I got it to be vr ready (for vr drvelopmeent) Wich it is, but on the lower end.

@nerd-san Doom has an ultra setting? I remember it ran fine for me in Windows 95...

Moders, what can I say, they changed the graphics, the sounds, the story, the interface, the engine, it's almost like an entirely different game that was produced recently by an entirely different Studio after they bought ID software and lost the original Dev team. It's crazzy.
