What do you guys think about mercurial (hg)?

I think it has no place in a world where git exists and I prefer git.

Just wondering what the general sentiment is

    @irene as long as you don't drop it it's fine though. But if you bought it recently it's not mercurial but alcohol if I'm not mistaken

    It's cool though, an old teacher of mine brought a jar or mercury to my highschool. It was completely taped shut and actually quite heavy.

    I actually learned version control with mercurial and going from that to git was really easy, as the commands are very similar.

    Looking back, I think it's better for learning, because history is immutable (from what I remember), so you can't fuck things up by removing commits or something.

    But I still prefer git.
