I was proud of myself before when I saw myself as a freelancer having multiple clients of my own.

And then, I took my yearly account balance out and saw how much I made from 15 Oct 2022 to 15 Oct 2023.

I got humbled right away and understood, why people go for one full-time corporate job rather than freelancing.

    It's a tough gig, and anyone who goes for it earns my respect. It's possible to make the mega bucks of course - but it's a long, hard slog.

    @AlmondSauce It's like a Diet-Enterpreneur, isn't it lol?

    Be a freelancer, but get full-time contracts with a single client. You work normal hours, but charge a premium hourly rate.

    What's not to like?

    @devdiddydog there are still things you may not like depending on the regulations in your area. It depends on how the premium you're charging compares to what you may be missing out on.

    @electrineer Sure, but at least in the regions I operate there is no real difference between a consultant and a full-time employee from a day-to-day perspective (you are treated and feel like part of the team regardless).

    You make three times the amount of money, and have organize your own super-annuation / pension, insurances and supply your own hardware.
