I like ms office, it's better than libre or open office and more responsive than googles alternatives

@calmyourtities Ironic. It's literally frozen in the picture. For no fucking reason.
-
@AlgoRythm are you on a fucking commodore 64 because that shit can run on the old ass computers at my school
-
@calmyourtities I'm running an Alienware. The program crashed because Microsoft is a steaming heap of shit.

@coolq Okay, I'm curious
Open Microsoft word. I have 2016. Put it in windowed mode so you can drag it around. Move the window around: is it laggy? It is for me. Maybe my installation is shit, but 2016 has been full of bugs. MS Office 2010 was my favorite version. Worked like a fucking charm. -

Okay, I opened word 2016 and it took ~2.23s to boot.
When I drag it around there is no lag, similar to the speed of dragging the file manager(explorer) around.
For interest, I opened a blank document and pasted a four pages of random letters. Still silky smooth.
My PC:
Surface Pro i7 256gb (42.4gb free space)
1080p monitor 60Hz
Windows 10 Pro
Also keep in mind that I've not opened Word or any other MS software (except Windows of course) since my last reboot (about a week ago).
I've _never_ experienced a bug in word 2016. While I'm not a massive fan of the software, it works fine. -
retrix8087y@AlgoRythm I've never had a problem with it either. I have, however, had endless problems with Alienware computers. I have never known of one happy Alienware user - for the price you pay, they should be more reliable.

Had to use MS excel at study exams (I do NOT excel at that). Very good spec computer but that fucker (excel) froze every fucking minute.

cursee171647yMaybe windows OS is way more advanced than we are supposed to believe. They might have emotions detecting feature. So it will give you more nightmares if you are unhappy about it in the first place. 😝
I'm a dual boot user so I'm not gonna use my laptop as an example. But almost all the laptops at my work are Pentium or Celeron (if I'm not wrong only one i3). They all run windows 8 or 10. And no trouble with docx, pptx or xlsx. I won't say they run fast. But not much lagging or crashing.
Microsoft is just one big fucking virus
