What about Manjaro Linux? How many of you guys actually used this distribution? I did installed this distro on my pc. Everything's neat. Battery consumption is lower than other distro I've used before. However I'm facing an unusual behavior though. My laptops fan is making more noise than ever before. No heavy applications running. As soon as I hit the power button it seems like a fucking airplane is starting. Lmao. Is it related to os or something else?

    Windows gets my fan running, no problem with any unix(Manjaro KDE too)

    now that you mention it, my laptop has gotten quite loud lately. maybe I should compare it to windows

    @karwler since i started goofing around open source community I just stopped uding Microsoft products. So I'm not comparing my laptop to a Windows os. And Windows is shit as well.

    @wolt ikr! I was thinking the same. It should be resolved by installing some packages. Although I applied cooling paste on the processor but no luck. I should try the package you're using.

    If you got Nvidia card and chose the closed source drivers, maybe your laptop uses the Nvidia by default thus it gets heated quickly and fans start working.
