Anyone here replaced their MBP (Mid-2012) Non-retina's HDD to Raid0 SSD? How is it holding up? Planning to do this in a month

I used to I have a late 2011 15" MBP with 2x Intel SSD x25-M 160gb drives (1 in the main bay, 1 in the optical bay). I chose these drives due to the limited bandwidth in the optical bay (it's restricted to 3g vs the main bays 6g). Worked just fine, huge speed upgrade which I enjoyed A LOT.

I did on my last MBP and it was sensationally revitalized. Now new MBP with 1TB SSD and loving it.

I've got a 240gb SSD and the original 500gb HDD in my 2009 MBP. SSD is in the regular drive bay and the HDD is in the optical bay using an adapter. The only bad thing about mine is that it's limited to SATA 3Gbps which limits the SSD's speed. Still faster than booting from the HDD though.
