@runfrodorun Why Chrome????? (Keep in mind it has the largest browser share currently)

This is a good thing to do, considerability +100

@linuxxx if you really wish to be rude, at least include that text after a normal polite one in the css color of page background.

@runfrodorun I'm just curious what's your problem with Chrome, despite its connection to Google. Actually it's known to be one of the most stable browsers AFAIK along with Firefox

@runfrodorun Idk, so far despite it being backed by Google, I noticed that especially for macOS (look, I don't like it but I'm stuck with it until I get money for a new computer) Chrome just works the best, and I'm anything but a sheep concerning privacy etc. (despite me still using quite a few Google services until I find something better) there's honestly nothing better that I found so far (in terms of quality of software itself as well as what it offers), and I did try quite a few browsers add I always like to try new services. Personally I wouldn't go as far as to block Chrome from my website (nor any browser for that matter, I would rejoice from users' suffering on a modern website with a shitty browser 😂😂) but that's me

@chilledfrogs @runfrodorun Because google (and thus mass surveillance) integration.

@runfrodorun what does pale moon send in user agent?

@runfrodorun forked fron FF, ok I think I got this :D

@runfrodorun For Linux I noticed that the end-user experience for both browsers (Firefox and Chrome) is the same, but for macOS very simply, unfortunately, there's just no comparison. And also as much as I hate using any cloud services, I pretty much rely on Chrome sync (too many reasons why, I can move to Firefox sync as well but as I said, Firefox is in my experience just built worse for macOS, like most open-source software, which genuinely sucks). But anyway, I was actually curious on the bullshit you receive from Chrome users (at least that's what I understood based on your original comment? Or is it just the privacy/Google issues?) first and foremost

@runfrodorun BTW also care to enlighten me on why you consider Chromium as being abused work? I would possibly change to Chromium but I wanna be informed about the nature of the project beforehand

@olezhka OMG thanks for that idea

@runfrodorun Fair enough, as I said this is just my experience with using both browsers for a little while 😁 (and using macOS as my day-to-day OS, still 🙄😭)

@runfrodorun Oh BTW concerning Firefox running well or not on macOS, do keep in mind that macOS users (me included) expect, and really need to work well, seamless, quasi-perfect integration with the rest of Apple's crazy integration that macOS offers. I noticed from experience that most open-source projects starting on Windows and/or Linux, pretty much no developer for those platforms can achieve that level of integration for many reasons (one of the reasons I hate Apple now mind you). So it's therefore really pathetically easy to spot an app that wasn't made for macOS, which of course sucks. Now from the standpoint of the high-standard (for developers from other OSes, so normal-standard for macOS users) user that I am, Firefox is obviously not built for macOS, and Chrome is built pretty much for macOS 😕(due to the resources that Google has compared to Mozilla). So if you are a Linux user as I assume, even if you occasionally use macOS you probably didn't notice that as bad design

@runfrodorun That's exactly what I'm saying, you really have to use macOS on a daily basis for a while to notice that... Apple locks users just as well as developers in, so that's actually great that you don't wanna bend to their shit, but in the process macOS users are less likely to use your program, which for a huge and important project like Firefox still represents some part of their user base. So if you don't have to give much of a shit for macOS users, that's excellent, because I'm still trying to get an open-source game to work for macOS with the devs, and I can tell you that porting stuff to macOS is a genuine pain in the ass thanks to how different it all is...

@runfrodorun I know, I'm not saying it's good. But just keep in mind that for pretty much all macOS users those are much more than gimmicks, those are the definition of a good application. I'm not exaggerating one bit. :/
That's my point why most open-source applications aren't very liked by macOS users (this is one of the reasons)
