Peasant, I’ve wrote and built simple chat app on Intel Atom with 2gb Ram, Windows 10 (yes that’s a tablet and no I am not masochist, my laptop was taking a lot of time to update).

I feel your pain man. Getting 16gb of ram for android studio to make disappear was the best investment I ever made

Quit android development after the same happend to me... Vowed to myself to not touch that untill i get at least 16gigs ram 😂😂

for me android studio is working well with 4gb ram

right now, On Macbook Air:
running android studio
and phpstorm beside with a running dev server for react native
and windows 7 in vmware

and its working smoothly

but beleive me i used to develop on windows and ubuntu, i have 8 GB and when running android studio my computer be like: help heeelp i'm burning heeelp you mf
