I'm sick and tired of apps sucking Apple's dick and making their apps the best thing ever for iOS but it being total shit for Android. Go fuck yourself cuntbags.

Well, to be honest: Material design sucks absolute donkey balls. It takes more work to not make your apps look like crap on Android.

@JohnDoesNot I don't necessarily mean material design. I just mean functionality. Instagram and Snapchat work like perfection on iOS devices, meanwhile it shits itself every few times I use it. 🤦

I also should've mentioned major app companies like Instagram and Snapchat. If you're a small few man crew, it's chill. Multimillion dollar company? Inexcusable.

I will keep my opinion about Android to myself, before i get virtually lynched ;)

And another aspect: testing on real devices is harder on Android, since there is a ton of different devices with very different issues. The main reason i release my apps iOS first.

@jhh2450 idk... after the last snapchat update I received o my iPhone it has been a terrible experience. Getting intermittent no connection errors when I am on wifi or full bars and all my other apps work. Then Pandora is unresponsive as well. Actually IOS11.x is shit, and is killing my 2 year old phone.

@nkydeerguy Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever going to happen. I'll use a basic phone before an iPhone.

@turturtles I feel like Apple fucks their old devices up with the new OS to make you upgrade, tbh.

@jhh2450 I wouldn’t doubt it. They probably do as their new updates always hit my phones 2+ years old the hardest.

@jhh2450 I am an Android guy but I have to play the devils advocate on that one. My dad just recently switched his iphone 5s to a new one, and he got it in early 2014. His reason? "Meh I will just get a new one" and the phone was working fine with no annoying lags or crashes. We can complain about Apple policies and stuff all day, but dem phones last man.

@jAsE this this this a BILLION TIMES THIS. The Android API sucks big time. Their way of doing things feel counter productive most of the time and you are right, material design does suck, in mobile is the equivalent of bootstrap in regarda to having a plain look that needs to be modified in order for it to not look the same as all other basic apps. The permission and storage systems are garbage and the docs can really be vague unless you are ready to go through trial and error for hours. I really hate how over engineered everything feels. Java to me is a great language, but I hate how it works on Android, I have high hopes for Kotlin as a replacement, but it still does not change the fact that the Android API sucks, we just got a nicer language to go with it...yipee. Tools like React native really do make the experience much simpler and logical really and I have high hopes for progressive web apps.
