Does anyone remember that website where people add horribly bad code they came across? I have some to add.

    There was this site with examples of pure gold, can't remember where it was. I'll share my finding of today: a (very personal) user page where access was controlled by a line of JavaScript that would redirect the user if the current username did not match the one in the URL.

    @tosensei > "TheDailyWtf"

    We have code there! I can't find the article (they might have archived it).

    The moderators changed the code from Delphi to C++ to 'protect the innocent' which we translated to covering their butts from some kind of weird copyright lawsuit.

    @tosensei Way back, the previous dev mgr was afraid that developers would submit stories to the DailyWTF about him. He was so paranoid he requested networking monitor and block certain web sites. DailyWTF, Dilbert.com and others.

    Didn't help on a weekly basis, there would be a Dilbert cartoon depicting a near exact situation in our office.
