"can I ask you a question?"
"do think V-shaped tshirts goes well with a pink lumberjack shirt?"

@heyheni My wardrobe consists of 8 identical black cotton shirts, boxershorts and pairs of black hiking socks, 4 identical blue jeans, 2 pairs of identical black sneakers, and 1 all-season waterproof coat.
So fashion questions will always be responded to with puzzled looks. -
@bittersweet I also have a lot of plain black t-shirts and plain black jeans. It's awesome not to have to think "now what would go well with this t-shirt?" every fucking morning.

I'd consider direct and clear communication to be the pinnacle of social skill, especially when the words carry so little emotional charge that the speaker should be able to realize that there is no need to glaze them with sugar.
"You are a really smelly person" might need some gentle preface and tactical word substitution, but "Could you create a mail account for Bob in the Finance department?" gives no reason to jump through irrelevant conversational hoops. -
@Baguette They try to get around this one by replacing the question mark with a period...

softban9037yGetting a straight forward message, & still having to reply "ok" to appease the person. /wrists
