Well I'm still relatively young but can still identify with this.
5 years ago I was like "fuck Linux! fuck Mac! Windows is the best!"

Things changed...

That's why it's called Adult-hood

I am so tired of that shit. We have the same people at work. "Bla bla Windows sucks!"... Can't hear that anymore.

Just choose the right OS for the right purpose and that fits your preferences. I have used different flavors of linux for years (Suse, Gentoo, Arch, Ubuntu, Debian) and I am fucking happy with Windows 10 right now. Installed its Linux-Subsystem, too. Nice symbiosis of both OS's best features and a lot less to fiddle.
I am happy with C# and .Net and .Net Core and Visual Studio. As long your company pays your MSDN subscription the Windows world is a lot of fun to code with. 😁

@MrThompson idk i used to rep windows like no tomorrow until i dipped my toes into linux, and eventually into the world of free software and stuff. I wont refuse to use proprietary software but I much prefer FOSS now.

@MrThompson Then don't listen to it anymore :). As long as one comes with carefully thought-through arguments while saying that, I'm always open for discussion.

@linuxxx Of course when there are good arguments I am open to discussions as well. Linux has its use cases for sure.

Me (2 years ago): I love coding Java in eclipse on my 700€ gaming laptop.

Me (now): Fuck Windows and my old heavy, loud laptop that runs out of battery after only 60 mins! I love my Thinkpad with Linux Mint, dark Cinnamon desktop and IntelliJ, CLion and all the other nice JetBrains IDEs. Still like Java though.
