Why the fuck would you use a Java Optional in your Scala library. As a Scala novice I just spent about 30 minutes wondering why my map function wouldn't compile 😠

Pluralsight is migrating our company's accounts to a new plan. Because of this I haven't been able to watch videos for the past two days, and the weekend is coming so I'll probably have to wait for next week. How can this 'migration' even take this long?1

I think medals would be nice to have on devrant. Awarding medals for special occasions might stimulate people. Thought of this after seeing @retnikt's post about his topic being chosen for w46. Something like that would be medal worthy i guess.

When I don't know what a technology is about, I type it's name into Google search followed by 'vs'.
Google then suggest similar stuff, which helps me understand what I'm looking at. -
My area of focus is switching between so many areas of focus without actually having the time to do so. Why is a day only 24 hours long :(1

I accidentally deleted the Facebook chat history I had with someone. Wanting it back, I quickly whipped up a program for my Teensy to download and executes a Java app I wrote. The Java app gets the Facebook cookies, decrypts and uses them to read the chat history which will then be sent to me. Now all I have to do is insert my Teensy via USB and I'll have my chat back! *mission impossible music playing*3

USB ports are such a vulnerability.
Using a device as cheap as a Teensy you can easily execute whatever malicious software you'd like on a person's computer.4
