@Aitkotw I was reading that a factory reset can help reset the battery as well so not sure whether to try that?

@chrisrhymes it can, but root gives entire new perspective to your phone in order to maintain and enhance it's performance.

@nikola1402 it's a sealed phone I'm afraid. I suppose I could send it back to HTC to get them to replace it. Not sure how much that would cost.

@chrisrhymes that's a bit tricky, but any repair shop should be able to do it for you. Check the prices of the batteries online and at the repair shops, and compare those prices with HTC ☺

@chrisrhymes also, always go for the original parts. Knockoff batteries will often offer significantly more mAh, but in reality they give equal or less power in comparison to the original battery. Also, i'm not sure if they're reliable enough

It all makes sense now...
I have always had android phones but after 18 month into 2 year contracts the batteries always become crap and last about 18 hours. Is this just an android thing or does it happen to iPhones as well?
I was thinking of going on the iPhone upgrade program to get a new phone each year and just getting a simple only deal.
Any advice welcome!
