Fuck interviewers that ask for your public github repo that you did in your own free time.

Do they also ask structural engineers for bridge designs they made in their own free time....

MS has been killing it on tools these days. Vscode, copilot, and github are all good.

Windows is still a pos, and I don't trust them as far as I can throw them, but those tools are decent today, so I'll use them until they aren't.

I just ask people to show me a bunch of code and explain it. It’s easier if it is their hobby stuff, but it can be any private code since I will not keep it anyway, they can screen share and explain away.
Then we talk about what they did, why, alternatives, etc.
