    Isn't there a tech that allows for live updating like this? I seem to remember some collab thing Microsoft made. I wonder if they used that in the past.

    But yeah, makes you wonder how much computer they know.

    If it's a link to an online file (Google Sheets, Office 365), then it's a reasonable expectation to be able to see edits of the other side. Maybe it's someone who's used to emailing links from locally synced copies of cloud files and this time they emailed a local-only file... Anyway, too many assumptions.

    @atheist if only Google sheet was the only one to do this ..the problem is when you send a file attachment, that's totally different story

    First question: "How are you imagining this working?" Let them explain how they think it works. Sometimes they will realize it doesn't work that way themselves.
