    You are aware that you can tweak a lot of settings on a config file right? Take a look at "intellij fine tunning" its the same thing... Its a java program ffs you can tell it to run on 64m memory, of course its not gonna work... But you can get a setting that works for you....

    @quietswami Since Chrome has that same... feature, I think anything made by Google requires a RAM-heavy diet.

    Runs very smoothly in my Linux 16GB RAM Laptop.

    Back in day the when it had Windows 10 it was pretty shitty

    I've just started playing around with Android Studio... don't think it's too bad for an IDE which is pretty smart about a dozen languages, offers interface design tools, and runs mobile device virtual machines.

    @Ares4TW It's mostly Jetbrains who made it though, little bit of Google. Their IDE's are all quite resource hungry, but sacrificing a stick of ram is more than worth it when it flawless points out how to fix obscure syntax/type errors.

    @World so once I tried to capture a high resolution image of my level design and Unreal Engine crashed me 1050Ti... poor me

    Running AS, AVD, VLC and firefox on Linux 16 GB ram and 6700hq laptop, hell you can even add Webstorm and Chrome.......smooth as a lubricated butter!!!!!!!! 😗👌
