Add this to the list of bad design choices of Mac OS and Apple laptops:

When you connect thr charging cable, the laptop makes a sound from the speakers, even if you have Headphones plugged in... Why?...
Infact it makes a sound even if you have it muted. This is an m2 pro, they had plenty of time to figure this shit out

:^) Think different I guess

The more I use macs the more I relize that the hardware is really solid, great screen, great keyboard and touchpad, great sound, amazing build quality. A bit subpar peripherals but nothing a dock or an extender couldnt fix. The battery lifetime is stellar, the CPU is swift... Everything is pretty great in the HW Department... But the software... Oh god the software... Mac OS is just a pain.. the touchpad is a bit too happy to ho forward/backward instead of horizontal scroll. The scroll bar in applications is extremely small and constsntly disappears and doesn't show up on mouse-over. The Finder file manager is just extremely Limited and confusing. Safari is the new Internet Explorer as far as Im concerned. The notifications appear in the top right corner by default, covering a lot of inportant parts of other applications...

I mean my god. Being different can't be more important than the actual UX...

User: Ok, I have low battery, let's plug in the cable.
Computer: HEY LISTEN EVERYONE THIS USER JUST PLUGGED IN THE CABLE!!

    that's on purpose.

it's to shame you for actually _charging_ your macbook instead of, as tim cook intended, buying a new one once the battery gets low.

    @Hazarth

Probably some induced current on the headphones circuitry, or the internal speaker magnet, or bad RF shielding, causing EM radiation picked up by your headphone cables, or receiver.

Same thing happens if you use any kind of Bluetooth audio device near a microwave in operation, for example.

It's not their first blunder, and it won't be the last, they have just become so adept at brainwashing their blind followers and hiding all their bullshit under the carpet that no one usually notices.

You know how good Apple stuff is if the users have nothing to complain about but something like "it makes a sound when plugged in". :)
What could be a better sign of quality?

@CoreFusionX nah, It's a clear audio effect played. Like a bloop thingy. Not cuased by a mistake, It seems It's either hardwired to play a sound or the Software just ignores the headphone device to play the effect

@Lensflare think what you want. It's unpolished and badly designed as far as Im concerned xD

@Hazarth If you think that's bad, just try to type a work email on an iPhone. It's so bad, I might make a rant about it.

@cuddlyogre I keep reading your user name as cuddlegore for some reason.

@Demolishun That only happens when I'm really stoked to see someone but they are also very fragile.

Apple consistently finds new ways to piss me off so I'm not surprised by this at all. My iPhone has become my worst enemy. I only got into CS a couple years ago, but its so obvious that Apple prioritizes form over function.

@taksyon Their products truly are only meant for consuming media provided through Apple's various stores. Any work you are able to get done on them is purely an oversight on their part and will be rectified shortly.

@cuddlyogre working since decades with Apple devices professionally. Much better than Windows for work or… anything else except gaming.
